About Linda and MHAC

Linda Posthumus has been a massage therapist since 1997. She attended Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy in Colorado Springs receiving 1150+ hours of massage training. Linda interned at the school’s clinic and at Penrose Hospital. Penrose Hospital was an amazing experience as she provided massage therapy to hospital staff and patients from the Intensive Care Unit, Oncology floor, and others with extended stays. Linda was able to see the immediate benefits massage had on these long-term patients as they were usually attached to monitors. Often patients’ heart rates and respiratory rates would decrease within moments to the “normal” level with the soothing touch.

Linda graduated from CIMTcertified in Swedish massage and NeuroMusclar Therapy. She has since been trained in CranioSacral Therapy, Pre and PeriNatal massage, and Sports massage.

Linda has worked in massage therapy salons and chiropractors offices until she decided to venture out on her own. In 2004, she opened up Massage Healing Arts Center. Her sole form of advertising is via the referrals from clients and friends who like Linda’s massage approach and philosophy. Linda continues to further her education by taking various massage/ holistic related classes each year. In 2007, Linda decided to take classes on becoming a birthing doula as it compliments the prenatal and postpartum portion of her work.

Outside of the office, Linda enjoys participating in a book club, cycling with friends, sailboat racing and hanging out with family and friends.
